Kadiyam Srihari is Ex-MLA from Ghanpur(Station) Constituency, the PolitBureau member of TDP, and the General Secretary of Telugu Desam party(TDP), the second largest legislative party in Andhra Pradesh. He was the Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004.

Early life and political career

Kadiyam Srihari was born in Parvathagiri, a village in the Warangal district. He earned a degree in Msc. Chemistry, and ventured into politics while pursuing his profession as Lecturer for the subject of Chemistry. After joining politics in TDP, he lost the general elections in the first attempt.

He worked as the KUDA (Kakatiya Urban Development Association) Chairman for sometime. In the next general elections, he won as MLA from Ghanpur(Station). He became Minister for Marketing,Social Welfare later Education and later Irrigation in the Cabinet of Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

In 2004, Kadiyam Srihari lost the general elections from Ghanpur(Station) to Dr. Vijaya Rama Rao from TRS (Telangana Rastra Samithi). He was later elected as MLA from Ghanpur(Station) in the 2008 bye-elections which occurred due to resignations from the TRS Legislative members.

Mr. Kadiyam Srihari Garu was the Minister in the cabinet of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu's reign. He held various porfolios including Marketing, Social Welfare, Education, and Irrigation.
